Ratings Snapshot: 2GB & 3AW #1 across Sydney and Melbourne

The first GfK Radio Survey of 2020 has seen Nine Radio retain the coveted #1 radio station in Sydney and Melbourne.

Below are some of the key highlights from Survey 1 of the GfK Radio Survey:

2GB 873 remains the clear #1 in Sydney

• 2GB 873 is Sydney’s favourite radio station (AM and FM) recording its 126th consecutive survey win with an audience share of 13.2% up 1.1 points.

• The Alan Jones Breakfast Show dominates the Breakfast timeslot – #1 with an audience share of 14.8% up 0.1 point. This represents Alan’s 225th survey win.

• The Ray Hadley Morning Show is a clear #1 recording a big jump in audience of 3.2 points to record an audience share of 17.5%. This is Ray’s 126th consecutive win.

3AW 693 remains the clear #1 in Melbourne

• 3AW 693 is Melbourne’s most listened to radio station (AM and FM) with an audience share of 13.3%

• 3AW Breakfast with Ross Stevenson and John Burns is celebrating an amazing 146 consecutive surveys as Melbourne’s #1 Breakfast show. They dominate Melbourne radio with an audience share of 15.9%, an incredible 4.8 points clear of any other station.

• Neil Mitchell retains his long-held #1 position. Neil is the favourite destination in Melbourne as the trusted source for news, talk and current affairs, with an audience share of 15.2%.
