Nine’s Director of Sport, Tom Malone, said: “The second season of Suncorp Super Netball has been a big success, with ratings up from last year’s inaugural season. After a record-breaking Preliminary Final and fantastic numbers for the Grand Final, I would like to give a huge thank you to the players and the clubs who have contributed to an incredible season – and we can’t wait to do it all again next year.”
Nine’s Head of Netball, Keeley Devery, said: “Sunday’s Grand Final was all we’d hoped it would be. A record crowd and the world’s best players going head-to-head in a dynamic and intense east-west showdown. It was thrilling from the first whistle, with Lightning going back-to-back and bringing the trophy home again.”
Nine also thanked principal partner, Suncorp, and major partners, Nissan, Samsung and Telstra for another successful year.
