The world’s most spectacular Olympic Games Opening Ceremony – which saw nearly 7,000 athletes parade on more than 80 boats down the River Seine to the cheers of hundreds of thousands of spectators – officially signaling competition at Paris 2024 has begun.
Day 1 of competition will provide a feast of entertainment featuring more than 20 sports including some of the biggest names in Australian sport. Ariarne Titmus will lead Australia’s charge in the pool when she sets her sights on gold in the 400m Freestyle, the Boomers take on Spain in their opening game, and Australian Opening Ceremony flag bearer Jess Fox takes on Canoe Slalom K1.
