Tom Malone, Director of Sport for Nine, said:
“At the end of the day, the Australian team provides the entertainment and we are merely the conduit for people to watch their favourite summer sport. Huge congratulations to Steve Smith and the entire Cricket Australia community on a terrific fightback this summer. We also want to thank the Australian team for granting us unprecedented access this summer. They’ve given our viewers insights they’ve never had before.
“The incredible retention of viewers across whole sessions of play is a great testament to the Wide World of Sports production team, led by the Head of Cricket Brent Williams, the commentators, cameramen, audio operators, special effects staff and entire production crew.”
