The 2025 Nine Telethon has once again proven the power of community, raising an extraordinary total of $10,005,545 for Mater Little Miracles on Saturday night, surpassing the goal of $9 million.

The incredible generosity of the Queensland community shone through as thousands united to support the critical care provided by Mater’s dedicated clinical teams. This record-breaking contribution will further strengthen Mater’s position as a national leader in neonatal intensive care and maternal-fetal medicine, ensuring more little miracles have a fighting chance.

A significant portion of the funds raised came from the presenting partners, including the Federal Government, the Queensland Government, Plantation Homes, The Lott by Golden Casket, University of Queensland and Data #3, whose unwavering support was instrumental in driving the total past the $9 million mark.

Adding a special emotional touch to the night, the Brisbane Broncos auctioned off football boots worn by Reece Walsh and Payne Haas, each pair symbolically reflecting the size of the premature and seriously ill babies the Telethon aims to help.

Broadcast live from Mater Mothers’ Hospital, the Telethon was hosted by 9News Queensland’s Melissa Downes and Today Show’s Tim Davies along with guest appearances from Married at First Sight’s Teejay and Rodger Corser, host of the upcoming Channel 9 program, The Floor.

Mater Foundation CEO, Andrew Thomas, said: “I’m incredibly humbled and proud of what the Queensland community has rallied together to do through this year’s Nine Telethon. Queenslanders truly are some of the most generous people in the country.

“These funds will go towards life-saving research, care and equipment for our tiniest and most vulnerable patients cared for at Mater Mothers’ hospitals across Queensland.

“I can’t thank Nine enough for their support along with our presenting partners who were a vital part of making this happen.”

The 2025 Nine Telethon was made extra special this year with the return of the Nine Telethon Concert supporting Mater Little Miracles on Wednesday night, headlined by the sensational Tones And I, with support from quintessential Aussie rock frontman Mark Seymour. It was a night of music, celebration and generosity, bringing the community together and driving momentum toward the huge fundraising total.
