Lego Movie 2 Joins MAFS Experiment in New Collaboration
Australia’s most talked about social experiment, Married at First Sight, has captured the national water-cooler conversation. So much so that another cultural phenomenon, Lego, has joined forces with it for the latest TV commercial promoting The Lego Movie 2.
In the new commercial, created by Warner Bros. in conjunction with Powered, Nine’s client solutions division, two animated Lego characters, Emmet and Lucy, find themselves on a Lego Married at First Sight couch.
However, Emmet and Lucy are not debating the big question, whether to stay or eave the marriage experiment. It’s the question of whether they should commit to watching the sequel, The Lego Movie 2.
Powered worked closely with media agency OMD to deliver this creative and topical execution, whilst the production work was completed out of Warner Bros.’ Los Angeles film studio.
The TVC first went to air on Sunday, March 10, during the Married at First Sight commitment ceremony. The Lego Movie 2 commercial highlights Powered’s ability to collaborate with a brand and deliver a fun and different solution that creates cut-through success in a competitive advertising landscape.
