3AW Breakfast’s Ross and John will broadcast live from Gippsland this Friday.

The duo want listeners to join them from 5.30am as they broadcast from the Albert & Co restaurant located at Bellevue on the Lakes in Lakes Entrance.

This outside broadcast comes with the support of Visit Victoria as 3AW helps let Melburnians know that Gippsland is open for business.

Minister of Tourism, Martin Pakula, said that Lakes Entrance, along with many other tourist towns in south and east Gippsland, is safe, pristine and ready for visitors.

Speaking on 3AW Breakfast last Friday, Mr Pakula confirmed that the tourism industries in these towns are crying out for visitors. Tourism operators have said that visitors have been scared off by the bushfire crisis, even though many towns have not been directly impacted.

3AW will further support the region by broadcasting A Moveable Feast with Ross and Kate from Albert & Co restaurant at 11am this Saturday. Listeners are encouraged to come along and support Victoria in its recovery.

3AW will continue to take other programs on the road in a series of broadcasts to support other fire-affected regions that have been described as devoid of tourists. Further locations and dates will be announced shortly.
