Can The Lightning Go Three In A Row?
Can The Lightning Go Three In A Row?
In 2018 we learnt that lightning can strike twice, but will it be a third time in the Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final, this Sunday at 1.00pm on Nine and 9Now?
The Sunshine Coast Lightning, premiers in 2017 and 2018, will face the NSW Swifts in the Grand Final live from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
Playing in their first Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final, the Swifts are the underdogs, yet to defeat the Lightning in 2019. But after a stellar season, during which they sat at the top of the table, the Swifts cannot be underestimated.
Australian netball champion Liz Ellis said: “I am super excited about Sunday’s Grand Final. The Lightning and the Swifts have been the form teams all year, boasting some of the best players in the world in their rosters.
“Add to that the fact that they are led by two passionate, canny coaches in Noeline Taurua and Briony Akle and it sets us up a blockbuster that has the added spice of the New South Wales-Queensland rivalry thrown in.”
Covering the highs and lows of what is set to be a terrific Grand Final will be host Aislin Kriukelis, caller Sue Gaudion, sideline commentator Cath Cox and expert commentator Liz Ellis, with special comments from Kim Green.
