Australian Open 2023 broadcast schedule: day 14
Australian Open 2023 broadcast schedule: day 14
The 2023 Australian Open will culminate in the Men’s Singles final between red-hot favourite Novak Djokovic and Greek underdog Stefanos Tsitsipas exclusive, live and free on Channel 9HD and 9Now from 6.30pm.
With the added incentive of taking the No.1 world ranking for the winner, both players aren’t lacking any motivation to claim the title
If fan favourite Tsitsipas can ride the wave of local support and pull off an upset he will be the youngest man to win at Melbourne Park since Djokovic in 2011.
Nine Wide World of Sports Tennis expert and current player, John Millman, said: “We’re not only watching one of the greatest tennis players but one of the greatest athletes of all-time in Novak Djokovic. His Aus Open campaign this year has been quite incredible to watch and he will be very hard to beat on his way to his 10th Australian Open title.”
“While Tsitsipas has improved his game and is at career best form, he will need to go to another level to provide any challenge to Djokovic. He needs to strike early to create scoreboard pressure in the opening sets and make the match longer to bring Novak’s hamstring issues into play.
“Tsitsipas’ big weapon is his forehand, and he also has a good serve, but what I think he will bring is a different style and variation than what Djokovic has faced this past week.”
Coverage will begin at 2.00pm with the Women’s Doubles final, before the Men’s singles from 6.30pm.
On Channel 9HD, the coverage is hosted by James Bracey with commentary from Jim Courier, Todd Woodbridge, Lleyton Hewitt, Jelena Dokic, Dylan Alcott, Casey Dellacqua, Sam Smith, Alicia Molik, Darren Cahill, John Millman and Peter Psaltis.
Additional off-court reporting will come from Alicia Loxley, Danika Mason and Madeline Slattery.
9Now has every match, every court available on device of your choosing, in full HD, with the new start-over button allowing fans to watch from the start of each session.
