4BC Brisbane – Historic win for Hadley and big gains for Breen and Emerson
News Talk 4BC 1116 has recorded a significant increase in its audience, with a share of 9.5% among all people 10+ up 2.4 points
For the first time in decades, 4BC has recorded a No.1 program overall, with The Ray Hadley Morning Show up 2.7 points to a market-leading 14% share. This is Ray’s best ever result in Brisbane and marks a significant milestone for the station.
The return to local breakfast and drive programs has also resulted in big audience gains, with Neil Breen’s breakfast show and Scott Emerson’s drive shows both up.
4BC Content Manager, Max Dudley, said: “In just five months, 4BC has made some significant jumps across the board and today’s results shows Brisbane is turning to live and local talk radio. We have seen audience growth across every program as the city embraces the new sound of 4BC.”
Among the highlights of the survey in Brisbane were:
- Breakfast with Neil Breen delivered a significant lift, making it the No.1 News Talk show in the breakfast timeslot, posting a 10.6% share up 2.4 points.
- The Ray Hadley Morning Show has given 4BC an historic milestone, delivering the station its first overall timeslot win in four decades. The Ray Hadley Morning Show is now the #1 morning program overall, with a 14% share in its timeslot (9-11am), a growth of 2.7 points. This is Ray’s best ever result in Brisbane.
- Afternoons with Deborah Knight increased its audience recording a 10.3% share up 2.3 points.
- Drive with Scott Emerson, in its second survey, lifted 2.1 points recording a 6.6% audience share.
- Nights with John Stanley had an 7.9% share in its timeslot growing its share by 2.3 points.
